I'm an environmentalist and laguage teacher who used to work as a tourist guide, environmental consultant, summer instructor... But I might be a frustated sociologist or a frustated "manyotherthings". I like nature and ecology, but I dont consider myself as pure ecologyst. I enjoy art and design but -unfortunately- I am not talented for any of them (as to play guitar). So bring an instrument, show me your music, books or arts and I'll be happy.
Passionated traveller, I joined CS in 2007, and enjoyed it A LOT! but unfortunately current CS is not exactly the project I joined years ago :( -I am really sad about it- (I joined an non-profit organisation that turned out to be a B-corp making money out of our data).
I have just joined BeWelcome, which sounds like a nice option. Check my profile at
BeWelcome is still not such a big community, so I use both as I really believe on the CS principles (well, I keep defining myself as "couchsurfer":
-I'm going -wherever- with CS, do you know it?
- (me) : Oh, really, are you a Couchsurfer?? so am I!
I won't be bothered to answer a copy/paste request, so if you really want to stay with us, please take the tame to mention why, read my profile and, at least, my name.
"What goes around comes around".
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING IS NOT JUST A BED FOR FREE. If that's what you are looking for, this is not the site nor the person you need to contact.
I really believe in the project as a way to tear down cultural borders and learn from others, so if you are looking for a cultural exchange, there I am!
Listening to the stories of grandparents, walking through small villages, walking through big cities, through forests or through whatever.
Travelling (that is obvious).
Nature and having an "outdoors lifestyle", simple and respectful.
Learning languages (perhaps cause I love chating? ;)) although I dont speak so many (-not yet!).
Music, Movies, and Books
Books: difficult to choose the best ones, but I enjoyed pretty much "One hundred years of solitude" and "Maya" . I once worked in a bookshop, it was almost as "horrible" as to work in a chocolate factory.
