About Me
Ciao! Hello! Namaste!
I'm Aman. I love seeking new experiences, meeting people over shared interests, and learning about new cultures.
While working remotely, I have been living a semi-nomadic life since 2017. Freedom, for me, is not just about exploring new places - but also staying at places that feel like home.
Over the years, I adpoted cultures and lifestyles of places I lived and travelled to. Often, I have a strange feeling of belonging everywhere, and yet, belonging nowhere.
Along with my primary work as a marketing consultant, I'm helping my mum run a small sustainable handicraft business in India that's helping marginalised women achieve financial independence. I'm working on making this my primary work.
I find peace in nature, offbeat cafes, and with gentle souls.
I try to understand other people, society and most importantly, myself. Looking inwards, through therapy, philosophy, and spirituality, has been the most rewarding action of my life.
Not religious but spiritual. Minimalist. Limited consumption of meat, sugar, and processed food.
Other interests: Hiking, chess, cooking, reading, writing, philosophy, psychology.
I strongly believe in "give more than you take" and as much as I'd have loved to host Couchsurfers, I have not been able to due to my location independent lifestyle.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm using CS with the only intention to connect, share, and learn from travellers, expats, and locals. Hear their stories and cultures. Gain new perspective on life and cultures.
While I'm grateful for all Couchsurfers I have met, some turned into deeper connections that I still cherish.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
- Went hiking alone in the high Himalayas, got lost without food and shelter, was saved by nomad shepherds. I did not do anything amazing but it was an experience that profoundly impacted me
- Went scuba diving in Nusa Penida, Indonesia battling my fear of ocean waters
- Wandered around the lesser-known areas of central Vietnam for days on a motorbike exploring hidden waterfalls, quaint villages, and dense forests
