Why I'm on Couchsurfing
Because I belive the locals can introduce a new place the most fully and because I love to get to know people.
Music, Movies, and Books
I love the art, which speaks to me - arises new horizons in me. I believe you can find pieces of art of every style, which somehow move you. I love classical music and different folk-music traditions and the music which is growing from folk-roots. I love the music, raised from musician´s passion and dedications. (favourite music of the moment: Yxalag Klezmer Band, Alexander Search, Lisa Hannigan, Antonin Dvorak) And it´s quite similar with movies. (favourite movies of the moment: La dolce vita, Nick Cave: One more time with feeling, Frida) For the books, I belive they always find you and read you just in the right moment of your life.♥ (favourite books of the moment: Joseph Campbell - The Hero´s Journey, Clarissa Pinkola Estés - Women Who Run with the Wolves, Italo Calvino - The Baron in the Trees)
One Amazing Thing I've Done
With five other volunteers I did a month of voluntary work in a hospital for mental diseases in La Paz, Bolivia.
Teach, Learn, Share
I´m always the happiest to share music! I play the violin and I like to learn new melodies and tunes - also I can teach some. :) I´m also interested in improving my language abilities (all languages are included, I constantly fall in love with the languages). And cooking with the people from other countries is more than just good idea - you teach and/or learn - and as a result, there is always something to share. :)
