We're two students who are studying in Switzerland the next 4 years. On our free time away from class we love to travel and experience as many new cultures as possible. We're both headed in careers towards the environment (policy/law/conservation). We both have diverse backgrounds and most of all have a passion for connecting with others and exchanging stories.
Juliana: Born in Dallas, TX to a Canadian mother and an American father. I am Native American on my dad's side and widely European on my mom's side, with a Swiss citizenship through my grandmother.
Anabeth: Born in Tijuana, Mexico but raised in NYC. My mother is an american citizen and is both irish and chinese while my dad who is a Mexican citzen is both old french and indigenous mexican. My step-father is also italian, so I have many different cutural influences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Considering we are students are priority as much as it is to travel is travel on a budget, but also this gives the oppurtunity for us to connect with people from the local communities we visit as well. That is always a main goal of ours while being in a new atmosphere.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I"ve volunteered and worked with indigenous groups on sustainability and agriculture in the moutainous communities of Cuzco, Peru. (Anabeth). I went on a train ride with four strangers for a week in Taiwan with the Taiwanese government to promote independent travel and tourism (Juliana)

What I Can Share with Hosts

We are adaptable and go with the flow type of individuals. We have grown up in different cities for most of our lives (NYC and Dallas) but have come to connect and establish the friendship we have by our promotion of adventure seeking and spotaneous travel. Also of course the environment. We'd love to share our experiences as we find our personalities to be very open-minded and exposures in this world to be quite unique.
