Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really love meeting new people and spending time with them. It's interesting for me to learn about countries and their cultures from the inside. Wanna get some recipes of your favorite food from you as well as some advice about traveling and going off grid.

Interests

My life's motto is "Try every side quest" therefore I love trying out new things without a fear of failure.

I see myself as a creative person, as I'm learning how to paint and draw at the same time as designing and sewing my own clothes. I have also played music since I was 5 years old, and my favorite now is ocarina and acoustic guitar. I also write my own music!

I love art and keep developing it. I genuinely enjoy going to art galleries and spending hours there🖼️ I'm into concept and abstract art ( strange art).

I dream of a hippie lifestyle and saving up for a van. I feel deep connections with nature and nothing can make me happier than a mountain walk or forest hike. I enjoy yoga and meditations as well. I would also like to learn more philosophy of Asian religions like Buddism and Taoism 🧘‍♀️

A few years ago I fell in love with winter sports like skiing and snowboarding and now I find every opportunity to do it. Also, I love climbing, and often find myself climbing trees on my local nature reserve. I really want to try something crazy like bungee jumping and parachute jumping. I love surfing even though I'm bad at it!

And most importantly, I love traveling and meeting new people. I also love collecting stories from them as I believe that every individual is unique just as their story and I find it fascinating and interesting. Connecting with people also gives me inspiration for my art and music.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love creating and listening to music, my music taste is endless,now I'm mostly into folk music, particularly Ukrainian. My favorite bands are "Leya", "Aurora","Barbatuques", "Radiohead" and others ( but it changes every so often). I love discovering different language music so I would be very happy if you could share your favorite playlist with me!

Talking about books, I love reading and my favorite novels are "1984" and "The secret history" but currently I'm obsessed with science fiction and philosophy, exploring the "Dune" series

My favorite movie ever is "Fight club" and there is nothing that left more impact on me than this masterpiece. Now I'm spending more time exploring cinematography and filming 🎥

I love cooking for other people, therefore I can show some national recipes I know or improvise and cook something new and interesting from what's available.

I can share stories about my home country and the experience of moving abroad as a teenager and traveling young.
