Hi there,

I was born in the Austrian Alps and currently live near the French border in South-West Germany.

Most of my adult life I spent abroad, more than 10 years of that in PR China (Tibetan Area, Sichuan and Beijing), working in tourism and international cooperation.

In 2012 I returned to Europe with my currently 14-year-old son and since 2014 I'm based in Karlsruhe.

I like to spend my spare time travelling, mountaineering, trying to learn playing drums and the guitar or going for runs or bike zips in the nearby woods.
Our flat is always open to friends and guests, we have a guest room (and some mattresses if you're more than 2), are fond of joint cooking sessions, spontaneous gatherings and relaxed evenings with Chinese tea or some good wine.

Our place is located at the northern edge of the Black Forest, in the suburbs Karlsruhe city, public transport is a few minutes walk away and takes you to the city in about 15 min.

If I have time, I might join you exploring the area around, we also got a spare bike or two.
