Hey couchsurfers!!

I’m Aldo. I’ve been riding arround the world by bicycle since April 2016.

I live in Prades, a small village near Perpignan (France), and there are very few travelers who visit this area, which is why I’ve never had a chance to host people. I hope to host surfers when I am back at home in France.

Now, let me explain my journey so far:

I left France in April 2016 to go to Vietnam first. It took approximately 1 year to get to Vietnam.
From Vietnam, I took a flight to Canada and did the Pacific Coast to San Diego (United States). I finally stopped after 17 months to come back home to my family and friends and to save money to continue my journey again.

I’m in South Africa at present (November 2019) after beginning my trip 14 months ago in France to travel around Africa.
After a total of 31 months on the road, I did 38 countries in Europe, Asia, North America and Africa and 40 000 km with my bicycle.

Couchsurfing is one of the best ways to share culture and things to do with people from everywhere!! I am traveling alone so it is a great way to meet travelers like me.

I’m very adaptable so I will never do things my way because I’m the guest, except if my way is the same as that of my host.

Importantly, I will never ask you to run around to show me everything. I am lucky to have time to relax because my journey is very long and I have sufficient time so I don’t have to rush all the time.

I can go outside for a walk, visiting the place with my host, share a dinner I cook, watching a movie or just relax and talk.
I’m riding every day for 7 or 8 hours when I am on the road so most of my time in couchsurfing is to recover and rest so please don’t ask me to ride my bicycle for 200km to visit the area because my body is going to refuse 😂.

I am independent so don’t feel uncomfortable if you don’t want to be with me the whole time because you need your own space and your own time. I am more than happy do things by myself.
