I like train rides, hitchhiking, going on long walks, libraries and cemeteries. By profession, I am a lawyer with a focus on international family law and German citizenship law. But I really try to spend more time studying history, planning the next journey, or writing about previous adventures. Between 2009 and 2023, I took a long break from my job as a lawyer and lived in several other countries and continents. This slow way of travelling gave me the opportunity to really get to know a place, to learn about the culture, the history, the people, the political and social aspects of a country. Due to my curiosity, I regularly get accused of being a spy. I am happy to finally have a place again where I can host Couchsurfers.
