About Me

To travel the world, share our love for music, whilst learning about other cultures and their way of living

Andrea Soler - Andrea is a genuine gypsy. Music is her life and she lives it with a nod to the cultural tradition of the troubadour, travelling the world, singing songs, telling tales and lifting spirits with a beguiling, bohemian flare and an authentic joie de vivre.
Her music is nomadic too, wandering the realms of indie folk, jazz, roots and world music. With touches of calypso, flamenco, reggae and more, Andrea intuitively blends a myriad of global influences to create music with universal appeal.
James Ross - James is a Musician and Music teacher who has been building a sustainable life through his passions for performing and sharing music. He has recently toured Japan and Australia playing at festivals, bars, house concerts and busking.
Grant O'Brien - Grant is a talented photo journalist. He will be the one with the camera in his hand, filming all the moments from the Daydreamer tour in Europe. He is in inspirational gentleman, whose heart is in inspiring people to live their dreams. Through his journalism, Goba has travelled the world, Cambodia to Morocco, Paris to Portugal and he loves meeting new people and going on adventures.

The great adventure in life is to be, to do, to do without, and to depart.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This June 15th, 2012 to September 15th, Andrea, Grant and James are going to be on tour through UK/Europe sharing music and good vibes at:
Festivals, Live music venues, Markets, House Concerts, Busking and Online shows. We have been working for 1 year now organising this trip.
We will be capturing the journey on film and are aiming to release a documentary that features CouchSurfing, showing independent self managed musicians how to live sustainably through music + show the tools necessary to create this sort of lifestyle.
We want to capture different people, cultures, languages, music, food and most of all the connection between people from different parts of the world.

Over the past 2 years, James has been an active member of CS having hosted 13 people here in Australia and also having surfed for 3 months around Japan.
Andrea and Grant (Married couple) have also participated in CS as hosts and surfers around the world however the online network is new for them. They were stoked to find out there was an online network that allowed people to connect around the world.
