About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be a citizen of the world. Follow opportunity and adventure where it takes me.

ABOUT ME

Good host or guest, eats good food, talks often about wine and beer, plays disc golf, rides his bike, has a scruffy terrier (doesn't travel with me though), and is always reliable.

PHILOSOPHY

Follow your heart. Define your goals to better understand the steps needed to reach them. Be true to yourself and your beliefs. Most of all, have a positive impact on the people you interact with.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm happy to help whenever, however I can. Dishes are always a good opportunity to help, but I love to cook and have experience with everything from auto repair to painting.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing is wonderful, though I've been doing it the old fashioned way for years. I used to play in a touring band (guitar, bass) for years. We slept on endless couches, floors or wherever there was room as we traveled all over the US and Canada.

Interests

Outside: Cycling, camping, traveling, disk golf, any beach activity, bocce and pétanque.
Inside: Cooking, reading (beverage, Vonnegut, Palanhiuk, Gladwell), watching (Miyazaki, Futurama, Christopher Guest), and eating out with good people and good wine.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Riding in the back of a truck turning through the streets of Haiti avoiding tire fires at 16 years old. Pretty much all of that experience.
-Exiting a tunnel in the Alps. The view was so incredibly powerful.

Teach, Learn, Share

Wine, beer, spirits and food. I can juggle a bit, do handstands, and turn myself sideways on a pole. I also know a joke or two.
