First and foremost to help those in need, secondly, to learn from as many people as possible and thirdly, to travel, explore and experience : )
I'm a very down to earth and laid back English guy, friendly and confident. Love meetin new people and tryin new stuff, enjoy gettin my hands dirty - whether decorating, growing veg or cleaning and cooking. Also fairly intelligent ... though i'm pretty common so it doesn't necessarily show.
I'm a gay guy and a big believer in community cohesion/people mixin ... we all need to do our bit.
I love volunteering and travel but, since returning home and setting up my business I've had little time for either.
Hate the sin not the sinner... and that a person should be judged by how well he treats the most vulnerable people around him.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Can't offer a couch at the moment (unless I convince my housemates, or unless we've talked loads first)
Would love to meet people who are visiting Preston though, walk them around and grab a coffee...
Stayed with a guy in Israel before I met up with my friends which was great - him and his mate showed me around and took me out etc.
Hosted an American guy a couple of years ago.
Was met by local Armenian's before Christmas who showed me Yerevan before I left.
FairTrade, Community Cohesion, gay rights, stigma reduction, HIV/AIDS awareness, Refugee/Asylum issues, education, addressing 'poverty', recycling/reusing, organic, Free-range... loads of stuff!
Fave music is dance, trance, clubland, pop etc... don't judge me on it though! (I don't expect many other people to enjoy it)
Like going out and exploring - whether in me own community or away. Love to party (should really give up alcohol tho)
Love architecture, especially old buildings and areas of great heritage.
Love wildlife too - Lake District is beautiful!
Passionate about volunteering - volunteer wi the British Red Cross ... an amazin charity!!

Teach, Learn, Share
Basic First Aid.
If someone falls unconscious and stops breathing give them 30 compressions and two breaths repeatedly til paramedics arrive. Don't underestimate this. Their heart mite stop but keep the bood pumpin to their brain via these compressions and the defibrilator can restart the heart... saving that person's life! Doing this within the first two minutes of a person not breathing is what will save them.
Now repeat after me, THIRTY COMPRESSIONS, TWO BREATHS.
(The breath's aren't compulsory if you don't feel comfortable)
*If it's by drowning do the same... but start off by giving FIVE BREATHS.
