Overview
About Me
I am a retired Brazilian University Professor (Sociology, Anthropology), living in Faro since 2020 with my wife and daughter. My wife is 59 years old, and my daughter is 20 years old. We chose Portugal to enjoy life after a life of work, while our daughter takes a University of UALG.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
three reasons to participate in Couchsurfing. Visit places, meet people around the world, and to improve my English.
Interests
I have a degree in History, so I am very passionate about World Wars, Ancient History (such as Greeks, Romans and Egyptians).
I'm also very interested in Italian cuisine.

Music, Movies, and Books
After a lifetime linked to books because of the University, today I am very far from books. All the time, literature did not meet my professional interests.
Also, I'm not connected to music or movies, I occasionally watch on cable TV or Netflix.
Sometimes I like Italian music like Vasco Rossi, Fiorella Mannoia or Lucio Dalla and also the Veneto dialect. Furthermore, Brazilian music is the favorite when we meet our friends (MPB, Bossa Nova).
I have some interest in English music to improve my pronunciation.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Fishermen fish with mutual help from dolphins
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share my appreciation for the Algarve region, for anyone who wants to visit the little gems that surround us.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I believe that Couchsurfing allows us to change the way we understand the world when we are confronted with other realities. This is the most important thing a guest can offer, how to welcome.
