I'm Angelo, I am glad to be here on Couchsurfing!
I am a social, dynamic, easy-going man eager to connect with other witty humans.

🇮🇹 🇬🇧 🇯🇵I was born in Sicily but I lived for different years in London and 1 year in Tokyo.

I am a language coach, and I have an online business through which I help students studying abroad (mostly in Japan).

At the moment I am back in Palermo, my hometown where I live with my cats Ginger and Wasabi, if you happen to visit feel free to message me! I can show you around if work isn't keeping me too busy, or we can definitely grab a beer or an ice cream (preferably the latter, I am always looking for excuses to have another nice gelato).

I am the founder of a local International Community called "Palermo International" (around 400 members on WhatsApp). We have been organising events with expats in Palermo for the last 4 years, with friends we also organise excursions and trips so if I host you be ready to get invited to some nice international and social events!
I also have a podcast about our international community ("Palermo International" on Spotify)! I am also a rapper and I usually perform at the Jam sessions/open mic events I organise every Friday night!

Even though I am quite sociable, I actually enjoy good quiet conversations and taking walks in nature.

P.S. I am aware that unfortunately, CouchSurfing in Palermo could be quite creepy for some women.
If you are a woman, even if you do not want to stay at my place I can try to put you in touch with some women who can host you and who are not on Couch Surfing (we have a good community of more than 300 expats). Just drop me a message for more info.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I studied and lived in Tokyo for 8 months, moving to Japan straight away without having visited it before. Cultural shock over 9000!

I went to Japan looking for answers and peace, I found just more questions and eventually got what I was looking for here in Italy.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A cosy atmosphere in a quiet area in Palermo.
On Tuesday, Friday and Sunday we can go to International events with other expats/foreigners living or visiting Palermo.
I can cook pasta and prepare Italian coffee.
