I grew up on my family's small orchard in the Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, Canada. I'm a lover of animals, the earth, music, honesty and bad-but-good jokes.

I'm looking to have meaningful experiences travelling. To see/feel/learn something new and real, and grow from it. Travelling to me isn't as much vacationing as it is going to school (generally more fun than actual school) in the world where everyone is my teacher and fellow student. That's at least how I try to look at it. I think you can treat your life like this anywhere everywhere, but especially in the houses and daily moments of new/different people welcoming you into their lives, and the moments of welcoming a friendly stranger into yours.

Busco tener experiencias significativas mientras viaje. Ver/sentir/aprender algo real y nuevo, y crecer personalmente por estas experiencias. Para mí mis viajes no son tanto como vacaciones (aunque soy muy agradecida y feliz por poder viajar) sino lecciones en la escuela del mundo en la cual todos son a la vez mis maestros y otros alumnos iguales que yo. Creo que puedes vivir con esta onda de aprendizaje por todos lados, pero puede que exista aún mas en las casas y momentos diarios de la gente que te da la bienvenida a su vida, e igual los instantes cuando le das la bienvenida a una nueva persona a la tuya.

Interessi

I like learning about people, myself, and the world. I like to be able to talk about different ideas, points of view, and experiences. I can talk about/discuss anything honestly.
Lo que me interesa más es aprender de la gente, mi mismo, y el mundo. Me gusta platicar sobre puntos de vista, experiencias y ideas diferentes y hablar honestamente de todo.

I enjoy listening to, playing, and writing music (I played saxophone and piano growing up, now mostly ukulele).
Disfruto mucho de la música. Tocar, escuchar, componer. Tocaba bastante el saxofón como adolescente, toco ahora el piano hace 6-7 años, y el ukulele hace 2 años.

I hold a special place in my heart for good rap, and good reggaeton.

Books/libros (and authors/autores): Thich Nhat Hanh's collection of peace/mindfulness teachings, John Green, books that make you amazed about nature and space. Las enseñanzas de Thich Nhat Hanh sobre La Paz y atención plena, John Green (todos sus libros), y libros sobre la naturaleza y el espacio que te dejan asombrado de leer.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

Graduated high school and then decided to travel alone long term (7 months) in a foreign country (Mexico) where I didn't yet speak the language (Spanish).

Graduarme del colegio y decidir irme a viajar sola en un país que no habla mi idioma. (7 meses en México).
