ABOUT ME

I'm a single woman from the Netherlands, divorced in 2012 after 37 years of marriage. Now I'm enjoying and celebrating my own life.
Have 3 children , and since October 2021 a grandson. Never thought that would happen so I am extra happy with seeing him and having him to stay a few nights over here , or me babysitting in their house. We all don't live so very close near each other.

Meeting people, hosting people so I can learn my languages better, having fun and exchanging wisdom and knowledge back and forth .

My traveling is not far away at the moment, I want to be able to get back in a short time if there is a problem with my autistic daughter in the VIC workhome where she lives. She needs mental support. And my health is not quite what it should be, am waiting for a few operations and regular hospital visits.

If everything gets a bit easier I may be going a bit further again.
The places I try to stay is my country , near where there is a fantasy festival where I go to with my lovely well behaved chihuahua. Sometimes a host will go there too. And I meet likeminded people at these kind of festivals too.

There is always a possibility to fly for a few days with my stewardess daughter and go to a 5 * hotel with her , but that's so different from couchsurfing, not the warmth of a CS host .

Irish music, fantasy movies and books like Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, The Shannara Chronicles, Game of Thrones, Outlander, The Handmaids Tale and everything likewise. Also a good thriller or horror or detective movie or book.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

In 2014 it was my first vacation all by myself, I went to Ireland with me, myself and I. Everybody warned me because it could be dangerous, but I had the time of my life, and my adult children thought it was very cool and were proud of me. Because after the divorce I create my own life and it's more adventurous than ever before.
