Hey! I'm Anne, I'm from Germany, and I study Geoecology in Potsdam, which is close to Berlin. This is my first time in Asia, as well as my first time backpacking and travelling solo. I love being in nature and doing all kinds of adventures, but I also love the nightlife in big cities and hanging out with nice people.

I've been traveling since May — I started my journey in New Zealand during winter, road-tripping in a freezing camper van with a friend (grrrr). Now my friend has gone back home, and I'm continuing my travels solo through Asia.
I joined Couchsurfing because I don't want to experience all this alone — I love meeting new people, sharing stories and learning about different ways of life. For me, the most meaningful part of travelling is connecting with others.

Omg, I can never decide. I listen to a lot of indie music, but also other genres.

I like comedies, satire, romance movies, action movies, classic movies. Recently, I've also become addicted to Ghibli movies.

Unfortunately, I don't get to read nearly enough. Right now, I'm reading One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I loved travelling with my friends, but after travelling solo for the past few weeks, I’ve realised how many more people I get to meet on my own.
One of my favourite moments was in Indonesia, where I met someone at a hostel. We spent two days together, drinking tuak with the locals in the evenings and listening to them play the guitar and sing. Those are the simple, spontaneous moments that stay with me.
