I'm an easy going, open minded person, interested in traveling, motorcycles, old timers, history, drawing cartoons and drinking beer. I always enjoy a good chat about everything, varying from the deeper meaning behind the fat ladies of Rubens, till the best bars of Rotterdam.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Since a couple of months I am able to host people, and the first time hosting was an experience I will always remember! Two British pelgrims passed by, carrying the gospel and a wooden cross. They were walking from Amsterdam to Brussels, and looking for a place to stay. Of course we let them in, and with some interesting stories, a beer and a nerv-racking dart challenge, it was a fascinating time!

During my student life, I worked as a security guard in a madhouse, as a salesman in a liquor store in the backstreets of Rotterdam and in a shabby old bar downtown where I heard the sad but interesting stories and the good old history of Rotterdam from the regulars, old hookers and other scumbags. Rotterdam is a fascinating city and I would love to share some stories about Rotterdam citizenship!
