About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Bringing my gifts to my community, supporting others in bringing theirs. Connecting with self, others and nature.
ABOUT ME
I've been a teacher much of my adult life, and I'm passionate about helping people find what really makes them come alive. I love nature and animals and connecting with different people - whether we are similar or not!
When I ask my friends to describe me, here's some of what they say: That I'm sensitive and capable, have a great love of life, am always open to new ideas and thoughts, willing to consider new perspectives and try new things, have a willingness to understand other people and myself, that I'm creative, optimistic & always looking for the message that the experience is bringing, that I'm kind and loyal, that I have intuition and wisdom in reading people and situations, and am forthright and honest.
These are flattering things to hear, and I kind of think it just means that I have amazing friends to say such things.
PHILOSOPHY
Trust myself. Listen. Be amazed. And always find the playful.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am an awesome house guest. I am friendly, flexible, conscientious, and tidy. I love to talk and get to know people, but I'm also totally self-sufficient.
My couch-surfing goal is to have been a blessing wherever I stay.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I did a lot of couch-surfing in 2012-14 as well as staying with friends. Nowadays, I’m more settled, but like to cruise around sometimes. It’s so much more fun to stay with folks than get an Airbnb.
Interests
Swing dancing, Lindy especially, is one of the ways I feel most like myself.
Nature. The wilder the better. I can survive in the city, but to thrive I must be intimate with the clouds, the wind roaring in red canyons, the trickle seeping out of a fern flocked hillside, the brilliant yellow of the aspens, green of rainforest moss, hoarfrost mud, tiny lichen forests on old fences, and on and on...
I grew up in Seattle, but I currently live in a small town in Colorado so the choices for eating out are .... limited. Whenever I go to new places, especially bigger cites I WANT TO EAT OUT! Tell me your favorites for Korean, Ethiopian, Thai, Vietnamese, and what new cuisine should I try??
Friends. God I love 'em.

Music, Movies, and Books
Swing dancing!!! Lindy has my heart, but also East Coast and currently teaching myself solo jazz.
Martin Prechtel's books are AMAZING! David Whyte - poetry, books, lectures. The Eragon series.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
- Walking in the woods at dusk and looking up to see a white owl looking at me.
- The first time I heard David Whyte's What to Remember When Waking.
- Hearing my friend talk about how she manages her 7th grade classroom.
- Many more... you could say I'm easily impressed, but I like to think that life is amazing if you're paying attention!
Teach, Learn, Share
Let's dance!!! I love to cook and bake, play music, share and hear stories!
