About Me

Hello! My name is Antonia, I’m from Germany and 19 years old. At the moment I’m taking a gap year before university to travel. Together with my boyfriend Leon (21 years old) I just hiked the Camino del Norte in Spain to Santiago de Compostela. Now we want to travel through Spain some more to improve our Spanish and get to know the country even better - so we are currently travelling together and are therefore looking for places where we can both find some place to sleep.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I hope to get to know the culture better by meeting locals!

Interests

I like to sing and to play the guitar and love to read (at the moment I’m mostly reading books from German authors like Juli Zeh and Bernhard Schlink, but I also very much enjoyed for example books from Paolo Coelho or the historical novels from Ken Follet. I could go on and on as I read a lot, but maybe you got an insight :) ). Also I enjoy to do Yoga, sometimes paint and, as you can probably tell from my profile pictures, love to hike and be in nature. In the past I also enjoyed dancing very much, but because of covid and school I couldn’t go to dance classes for some time and have forgotten a lot… At home I also have a dog, I love animals!

Music, Movies, and Books

Leon and I both enjoy to listen to music of different genres and like to watch a good movie or series from time to time. I also love to read very much, I’m kind of a bookworm:)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking the Camino de Santiago was definitely a great experience, the nature is breathtaking and it was great to learn that everything we truly need fits into our backpacks.

Teach, Learn, Share

We would very much like to learn more Spanish! Also we both would love to learn to learn to cook interesting (vegetarian) meals or learn how to dance (I danced for some years different kinds of dances like hiphop, Jazz Dance and also the standard dances like tango and chachacha and so on, but I forgot too much already!)

What I Can Share with Hosts

We both speak German and English and a little bit of Russian and are happy to share our knowledge. Also we enjoy cooking vegetarian meals :) Otherwise it depends, but we are open to share what we know.
