Currently in Rotorua, New Zealand 🇳🇿 I first discovered Couchsurfing when I was an Erasmus exchange student in Lithuania. Over the past seven years, I have met many amazing people who have become like family to me. I’m sure that if I sent them a message today, or if they contacted me, we would still be just as close, spending time together, cooking, and sharing our stories. I am currently in New Zealand on a Working Holiday Visa (WHV). My plan is to travel around the country, mostly by hitchhiking, while also working in hospitality jobs along the way. My goal here is to meet as many people from different countries as possible, learn about their backgrounds, cultural experiences, and the history of their countries. I also enjoy hearing local tips about places—things you can’t find on Google and can only learn through personal experience. I’m happy to talk a little about politics too, but not too much! Whatever comes to your mind, I’m always up for a good conversation, sharing a meal, or having a drink together. In general, I enjoy playing and watching football (soccer). Besides football, I also play table tennis and tennis, and I am a huge Formula 1 fan. I love swimming, hitchhiking, partying, and dancing. From time to time, I read books about personal development and psychology. As Descartes once said, “I think, therefore I am.” I believe it is important to understand ourselves and the way we think.
