My name is Aoife, however, it is pronounced 'ee-fa'.

I was born in Melbourne, Australia and have lived there my whole life.

I have been travelling regularly since I was 2-years-old. I have mostly travelled around Europe, but have also been to Africa, the Middle East and Asia. I went to school in Italy for 2 months and I am (mostly) fluent in Italian.

I joined couchsurfing 2 years ago when I went travelling around Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
I am a keen traveller and love meeting new people ~ I am very open minded and interested in learning new things from people of all sorts. I am really interested in meeting local people, rather than solely other travellers. I believe this is the best way to understand a place and its culture, which is the reason why I am so drawn to travelling.

I love reading, I am a huge fan of Eckhart Tolle and Aldous Huxley.
I am particularly interested in existential books about the Universe at the moment.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Amazing things include my numerous trips to Europe and my World Challenge trip to Namibia and Botswana. One of the highlights of that expedition was volunteering at a school and assisting in building a netball court!
One of my favourite trips overseas was to Iran, I found the culture so beautiful, as well as the architecture and food!

I have a big interest in politics, sociology and anthropology.
I can't teach much but I can share my views with you.
I am very very open to learning new things, particularly regarding music and art.

I can share my love for food by cooking for you. Although I cannot really share any traditional Australian cuisine with you, as we don't really have one, I can cook Italian, Indian and South-East Asian food really well :)
