I'm Aqeel. I work as a Consultant in Tech but did my undergrad in Earth and Space Sciences. So one can guess that I like nature. I like travelling and exploring, visiting new places and learning about people and cultures. I've travelled quite a bit. 25+ countries so far. But there's just so much more to explore. And so little time (and money :D). A sentiment I'm sure pretty is shared practically by everyone on this platform.

I am German citizen. I grew up in Pakistan, lived in United States for a year as an exchange student and completed my education in Germany from an international university. I lived in Spain for a year. And I'm based in Portugal right now. I've travelled mostly across Europe so far. 2023 was the first time visit South East Asia. In all my travels I've met so many fellow CS travellers and made countless precious memories with total strangers and lifelong friends alike.

Why stop the fun? Let's continue to travel and grow together and make each other's various stops in their personal life journeys meaningful and unforgettable!

Travelling to me is not just about visiting a place, seeing some famous landmarks there and crossing it off the checklist. It's a whole learning experience, a kind that is as valuable (arguably even more) as schooling. And it is insufficient without mingling with the locals and getting to know the culture from within. I have fortunately have had the opportunity live with the hosts, in some of the countries I've visited and all those experiences have been wonderful. So now when I start travelling more, I would really like to stay with local hosts when I visit a place to create new such wonderful experiences. And I would be more than glad to accommodate visitors, when possible, or just hang out and show a good time. We all are humans and a part of one global society. Everybody has something valuable to share and together we learn, have fun, create memories and grow.
