About Me

Hey there!
I’m Aref, originally from Iran, and currently living in Germany since 2023. I’m pursuing my master’s degree in Material Science at the University of Duisburg-Essen, and I’ve recently started working at a steel factory as part of an apprenticeship.

As an international student in Europe, I’ve had the chance to take short trips to countries like the Netherlands and Italy, both were unforgettable experiences!

I love meeting new people from all over the world and learning about different cultures and ways of life. I enjoy deep, meaningful conversations and am always open to new adventures, ideas, and perspectives.

In my free time I enjoy discovering cool and interesting places. Whether it’s a hidden corner of a city or a quiet natural spot, I love exploring and experiencing new environments. I love also to play Cards and Backgammon with my friends in our free times.

As a guest: I’m respectful, clean, and always open to meaningful cultural exchange. I enjoy sharing stories from my culture and travels, and I’m more than happy to help out around the house or cook together. For me, Couchsurfing is not just about finding a place to stay, it’s about connecting with others and creating shared memories.

Interests

Tarot card reading - I find it fascinating to explore symbols and intuition to reflect on the future or life decisions. And if you’re up for a challenge, I love a good game of backgammon :)
