Hi, I'm Arham from India. I am someone who is endlessly curious about people (людей), places (места), cultures (культуры) and the different ways in which communities make sense of life. Over the last few years, my journey (путешествие) has taken me from rural villages in India to working in Central America, and through it all I've realized that the most meaningful experiences rarely happen at famous landmarks—they happen around dinner tables, on long walks, and in conversations with people who call a place home. Professionally, I work around climate action, forests and indigenous livelihoods. But beyond work, I am fascinated by mountain communities (горные сообщества), traditional knowledge systems, entrepreneurship, history, food, travel and the stories that shape societies. I am not a checklist traveler. I prefer slow travel (медленные путешествия). I enjoy spending time understanding how people live, what they care about, what challenges they face, and what makes their corner of the world unique. Some of my favorite memories involve getting lost in conversations with strangers who later became friends (друзья). As a guest, I try to be respectful, independent, tidy and considerate of my host's time and space. I understand that hosting is an act of trust (доверие) and generosity (щедрость), and I never take that for granted. Whether we spend hours talking or simply share a meal before going our separate ways, I am grateful for the opportunity to learn from the people I meet. In return, I am always happy to share stories from India, my travels across Latin America, thoughts on climate and development, or simply good conversation over tea, coffee, or a glass of wine. I believe that the world becomes a little smaller and a little kinder when strangers choose to trust one another. Looking forward to meeting fellow travelers (путешественники), adventurers (искатели приключений), dreamers (мечтатели) and kind souls along the way. До встречи!

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because I have a deep passion for exploring people and culture. To me, the best way to make travel meaningful and memorable is by forging genuine connections and discovering a home away from home, rather than just staying in a hotel. Couchsurfing allows me to immerse myself in local communities, make lasting friendships, and create unforgettable experiences wherever I go.
