Realized redneck, grateful daddy, too-late hippie, backwoods hillbilly, confused engineer, hopeless tinkerer, happy vagabond, self-conscious socialite, gutter punk, alley cat, rain dog... unequal parts but each substantial. I no longer smoke cigarette butts from ashtrays while drinking too much alcohol, instead I'm focusing on a wonderful love and a healthy yoga practice. I've put sweat and blood and a good share of my life into promoting growth and function of our local organic food co-op, and still eat McDonalds and bad pizza. I'm a peace-loving humanist with a best friend who gets into fistfights way too often. Music saved my life. Eliza is here as well. She's a funny, chill, positive, garden-dwelling yogi-nurse-massage therapist. She's a lover, social activist, eater and chef, master of "name that band", kitchen dancer, lover of flowers, and vegetables too, and the bees that make it all happen. She's a tarot reader and moon watcher. She might learn to play the viola someday. She doesn't like "Here Comes the Sun" by the Beatles. But she does, in general, like the Beatles. You'll find her in the sun, or perhaps gazing at the moon, or perhaps over near the honey pot. Mooney might be here as well. She's a hoot and a holler, a 9-year old who can't be bothered, a budding artist and general all-around advice giver. She likes making up lyrics to songs that you wish you would have written. She names things.

One Amazing Thing I've Done
I once hitchhiked with a vampire in Indiana, and watched a spider build a complete web in a dewy cornfield in rural sunrise Michigan. I made donuts over a fire up a tree in Wisconsin and fed the masses homemade campfire donuts in the dark, a hundred people in a tree. In the early 1990s, my pard Elliot and I were frequently the deepest people in the western hemisphere at 8250 feet below ground. We didn't know that then. But the real kicker was seeing my child being born, and watching her grow/change/evolve/realize.
