Overview
About Me
Hi! I’m Arslan – researcher turned business person, passionate traveler, and cultural explorer. I completed my PhD in 2020 and spent a few years in academic research before moving into business.
Outside work, I love meeting new people, learning from different cultures, and sharing meaningful conversations. I’ve traveled to over 12 countries so far and believe travel isn’t just about places – it’s about people, stories, respect, and connection.
I’m easy-going, open-minded, and appreciate simple things: good coffee, long walks, and genuine conversations. I don’t drink or party hard, but I enjoy social hangouts, learning new traditions, and exploring local life. Couchsurfing for me is about friendship over free accommodation — I value people more than places.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing to connect with genuine people, share cultures, and experience places beyond tourism. I believe travel is not only about visiting landmarks—it’s about understanding people, their values, and their way of life. I enjoy meaningful conversations about culture, history, healthy lifestyle, food habits, global perspectives, and sometimes even unconventional ideas that encourage critical thinking.
I’m not here just for free accommodation—I value respect, honesty, and real human connection. I enjoy meeting open-minded people, learning from different life experiences, and exchanging knowledge. I also appreciate people who stand for truth, integrity, and positive impact in society. Whether it’s exploring a city, sharing travel stories, or having a thoughtful discussion over coffee, I enjoy cultural exchange and friendship across borders.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Turning from a full-time student into a business owner was the toughest challenge of my life. After years in academic research, entering the real world of business—with risk, responsibility, and no guarantee of success—was a difficult transition. I started, struggled, learned, failed, and kept going step by step, without giving up, is the most amazing journey I’ve taken so far—and I’m still moving forward.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: Business insights, entrepreneurship, research skills, cultural knowledge, and what I’ve learned from life and travel.
Learn: Local culture, languages, traditions, farming systems, food science, and new world perspectives.
Share: Respect, good conversation, positivity, travel stories, and cultural exchange. I can also share tea, ideas, and knowledge—always happy to learn together.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share good company, meaningful conversations, kindness, and respect. I enjoy cultural exchange and I’m always open to discussing life, travel, history, business, or ideas. I love learning from others and also sharing what I know—whether it’s about Pakistani culture, agriculture, business, healthy lifestyle, or personal growth. I believe every meeting is a chance to exchange positive energy and leave a good memory behind. I also try to contribute in small ways—helping with something, bringing a little gift from my culture, or cooking something simple from home.
