ABOUT ME

I finished school in 2009 and instead of getting tied down with what I (and most of us) have been told to do, I did (what most of you) seem to be doing, and see the world I live in, meet people of all sorts, participate in life as much as possible, and leave the serious stuff for later.

I am building an RV on the back of my truck and plan to live on the road indefinately, volunteering, smiling, and loving until I settle down, and then become a Professor of Sports Medicine.

I am a serious distance runner, and that lifestyle has brought a passion for outdoor activities in general. I do a lot of hiking, kayaking, cycling etc, these days more for leisure and fun than competition.

The best day I can possibly imagine:
-Wake up in a tent where I've been camping. Have a nice moderate 7 mile run or so. Cook an organic breakfast over the campfire. Sunbathe naked in the sand all day while sipping rum to reward myself for the awesome run I did earlier in the day. Then go to a concert in the evening with friends and let loose. Finally finishing the day by cuddling and loving my girlfriend, having homemade cookies and ice cream and watching a movie in a hot tub until we fall asleep.....actually, I'll get out of the hot tub first so I don't drown, and THEN fall asleep in the bed :)

PHILOSOPHY

Don't waste the prime of your life working and saving for when you're old and can't enjoy it. Do as much as you can in this life. Accumulating stuff is awesome,but not as awesome as accumulating experiences.

Be present in the moment. This is the only reality. The past and future do not exist, and will never exist. Go ahead and learn from the past, and plan for the future, but to let them control your present emotional state is not the path to happiness.

Sincerely love and respect everyone. Every person on this planet is your superior in one form or another. To belittle them or condemn them is foolish. With this mindset, we can all find true interest in a person, building stronger friendships, better love relationships, and leave the world better than we found it.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to expand this community. I think that traveling this way is THE way to do it. I love the social aspect of traveling. Since we all have a similar interests, we instantly have some rapport, and we can make eachother's trips that much more fun. Yay!
