About Me

I'm originally from the USA and have been living abroad for the last 4 years. I lived and taught English in South Korea for a few years and spent 1 year living in Vietnam. I'm now living in Perth, Australia.

I studied recreation and sport management in university and love all kinds of recreational activities, especially outdoors.

I'm also;
Animal lover, nonsmoker, pretty good baker and decent cook, avid reader

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The best part of traveling and living is abroad is the people you meet. I love to hear stories of other peoples' travels and their life back in their home countries. Tourist spots are fun to visit but I love to visit the places locals love to go and things they love to do.
I'm hoping to become more active on CS and meet more people from all over the world!

Unfortunately I don't have a permanent housing situation at the moment so I'm unable to host surfers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed to the top of South Korea's highest mountain/extinct volcano, Hallasan

Snorkeling among shipwrecks and reefs in the Philippines

Hiking through mountainous rice paddies in Sapa, northern Vietnam

Spent time with elephants at Elephant Nature Park, Chiang Mai, Thailand

Danced Samba in Taiwan's annual Dream Parade

Teach, Learn, Share

I've recently started learning how to dance Samba and am loving it! Would be happy to show you basic moves (I'm far from great at it haha)

I've also recently started learning Spanish (completed A1 level) so I'm in that awkward stage of having lots of vocab and some verbs but not really enough to have an actual conversation past introducing myself haha

Countries I’ve Visited

Cambodia, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, South Korea, United States, Viet Nam
