About Me

Hi, I’m Ashy Zim (Khasyful Azim)! I run a small business as a QMS Consultant based in Kuala Lumpur, which keeps me on the move as I actively travel for work. When I’m not working, I love meeting new people, sharing experiences, and exploring local cultures.

I enjoy meaningful conversations, learning about different perspectives, and discovering hidden gems in every city I visit. Looking forward to connecting with like-minded travelers and hosts!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m here because I genuinely believe in the kindness and goodness of people. Life has a funny way of connecting us—sometimes you’re the one offering help, and other times, you’re the one receiving it. To me, it’s about creating a cycle of generosity, learning from each other, and building meaningful connections along the way.

If you’d like to know more about me, feel free to check out my references (a little reading never hurt anyone, right?). I hope our paths cross, and we can share stories, laughs, and maybe even a meal!

Interests

I’m all about enjoying life’s simple pleasures—good food, great company, and making memories wherever I go. Whether it’s whipping up something delicious in the kitchen, exploring new places, or unwinding with casual drinks and light parties, I’m always up for a good time.

I love the thrill of discovering hidden gems, learning about people and cultures, and sharing stories that make us laugh (or cringe at my travel misadventures). Life’s an adventure, and I’m here for all the fun, food, and friendships it has to offer!

Music, Movies, and Books

I’m into calm music, live performances, and anything classical—especially piano and violin. It’s the kind of music that makes you feel sophisticated while sipping imaginary tea.

Books? Let’s just say my relationship with books has been on a 10-year break. Instead, I binge on podcasts about aviation and travel because, apparently, that counts as “reading” these days.

Sharing:
My true passion lies in cooking and, naturally, eating. I can whip up most Asian dishes with a touch of western flair. Currently, I cook for my employees three times a week, and I must say, my skills are solid. How do I know? Nothing ever gets left behind—empty plates don’t lie!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Nothing too wild, but I’ve managed to keep my status single—purely to maintain my freedom for traveling, of course! Some say it’s dedication, I say it’s strategic planning.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach:
I can teach you how to cook like a pro and travel like a minimalist—efficient, smooth, and hassle-free. But if you’re into chaos, I can also teach you how to ruin a trip in record time and burn through your cash (trust me, I’ve been scammed enough in my early traveling days to be an expert in this).

Learn:
I’m always eager to learn about different cultures and people. I believe the more I learn, the better I can connect with others—and maybe, just maybe, figure out the secret sauce to life.

Share:
I may not have a huge place, but I’m more than happy to share it with fellow travelers or anyone in need. I’ll also share tips on running a business and earning money—though I might not teach you how I spend it recklessly during travels!

What I Can Share with Hosts

1. A Taste of My Cooking:
I love cooking and can whip up delicious Asian dishes with a twist of Western flair. Whether it’s spicy sambal or creamy butter chicken, I’d be happy to cook for you during my stay. I promise, no leftovers—my cooking speaks for itself!

2. Travel Stories & Tips:
From my early misadventures of being scammed to mastering efficient and budget-friendly travel, I have plenty of stories (and cautionary tales) to share. You’ll laugh, you’ll learn, and you might even pick up a tip or two!

3. Business Knowledge:
As a small business owner, I can share insights about running a business, handling challenges, and finding ways to earn money. It’s not just work—it’s an adventure of its own.

4. Cultural Exchange:
I’d love to share about my culture and learn about yours. It’s the little things—like food, traditions, and daily life—that make connecting with people so special.

5. Good Vibes and Gratitude:
Above all, I bring a positive attitude, respect, and genuine appreciation for the kindness you show by hosting me. Let’s make great memories together!
