To know the rules well so I can break them properly.
Basically a very disciplined hippy.
Unconditional love. I think all which is positive follows from this.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My Grandfather and I have taken in plenty of Couchsurfers and other travelers over the years. We stay in contact with most of our guests and many have even become extended family :)
Wonderful at best, a learning experience at worst. Nothing awful.
Yoga, Aikido, other "traditional" martial arts, massage therapy, new-school anthropology (especially medical anthropology), language learning, cooking, riding my bike and being outside in general.
Professionally, I'm in community mental and physical health care. Currently I'm an instructor with the Adaptive Yoga Project in Santa Cruz, California. We work with folks and youths with physical and mental handicaps. In the long-term, I want to open a K-12 school that integrates yoga and martial arts training into an academic curriculum.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Bought a one-way ticket to Mexico with about $300 and survived 8 months on hard work, good fortune, and plenty of generosity I'm still paying forward.
Teach, Learn, Share
What I Can Share with Hosts
I consider myself both a good host and guest. Aside from my professional skills, I can offer help around the house or with odd jobs. I like learning new skills.
If nothing else, I can offer good conversation :)
