Me in short: A Physics student who meanwhile also learns tarot and dreams to be an indie film director one day :)

You can simply call me Sia. If you insist to call me by my Chinese name - which would be a little bit challenging to pronounce it correct - then try Ziyan in Phonetic Alphabet, which will be: [zɿ] [jɛn].

I won’t say that I’m good at photography, but I do like taking photos and also filming with my camera in my daily life. You can see some of my works on my CS album when you’re interested in it.

Film is one of the most important forms of art media for me.
I’m also very interested in linguistics - different writing systems in particular. It’s always a pleasure for me to get to know something new about language - no matter in general or specific.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started to use CS when I was taking my gap year in 2024. I met a lot of amazing people during the month long euro-asia travel as guest and still keep in touch actively with some of them.
Now I'm studying in Germany and have the possibility also to host travelers. So I'd like to give the kindness and love so far that I received, back to this lovely community. And I'd also like to meet sincere and interesting people around the world, listen to their stories, share what I know about my current living city to them, just as once my hosts done for me :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

• Trekking around Mount Kailash in the Tibetan Plateau without taking a bite of bottled oxygen
• Driving 700km on expressway a day as the very first drive after acquiring driving license
• Hitchhiked alone in Turkey for 500km in one day

Teach, Learn, Share

• Mandarin and even a kind of dialect of Chinese is also possible :)
• Photography and filming skills ( I'm not professional so maybe just fundamental usage
