To excel in everything I do
Moved to Pune in 2008 and now I really feel quite at home here. I love travelling and am fascinated by trains. My dream trip: Trans Siberian Railway all the way.
I want to excel in everything I do. Someone asked me what is your goal in life, and I told him... I want to be true to myself in everything I do, so that whenever I look into the mirror.. I am able to look straight into my own eyes. Sounds quite philosophical... haha!!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I was a virgin couchsurfer until the second week of November 2007 when I hosted a surfer from West Virginia at my apartment in Reston, Virginia. It was a wonderful experience. A lot of people had advised me not to entertain total strangers in the house, particularly because I was new to the U.S.. But I must say, people like Gary (the first couchsurfer in my house) lend credibility to the couchsurfing program. I'm sure I'll look forward to greeting more visitors with added enthusiasm.
I've got the opportunity to host on a couple of occasions after that. My work involves a lot of travel but I'll surely accept requests to host whenever I'm in town.
Love watching movies and cooking. Also like to travel and make new friends. Have written some poetry but working as a lawyer seldom gives time now to pursue it further.
Music, Movies, and Books
Love all kinda movies... have watched them in all sorts of languages... some in a language I didn't even know :) Enjoy country music, soft rock, hard rock... it all depends on the mood.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The Taj Mahal remains the most wonderful thing I've ever seen till date... you have to see it to believe it. It is simply out of this world... probably the most romantic, fairytale-like place in this world.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love experimenting with food... and learning new languages. Know basic french and would love to learn Spanish.
