HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I live in Nashville, and I have a great social life here. I'd love to share my home with visitors and also be able to show them around. I travel as often as possible. I'll be embarking on a UK vacation from 6/4/15-6/15/15, so my couch will be unavailable then... but I'll be looking for some couches when I travel. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I'm pretty new to this site, have been busy with my company and haven't traveled too much! I guess I started couch surfing hosting back in college... we happened to meet a van full of these young English guys who were doing a cross country trip across the US while at Florida State. My roommate and I offered them our dorm room couch/room... as we had boyfriends in the same building. We had a blast getting to know them, and they even sent us postcards from other stops along their trip!

I left my group in San Francisco because I wanted to take a walk to the Pacific Ocean. As my phone battery died with my toes in the water, I reflected on how fortunate I had been to be able to have my toes in the Pacific, facing west, when just 90 days earlier I had been in Ireland, staring across the Atlantic at the Cliffs of Moher or in Dublin looking east towards Wales.
