CURRENT MISSION

Teach new members to read profiles before asking for a couch ! ! ! This is couchsurfing not the cheapest way to sleep anywhere...

Ahhh yeah: One thing is really important... only ask for a couch if you are a member longer than 2 hours, have completed your profile and are sure that you want to surf my couch... so starting with a name is a must...

And a second important thing: If you decide not to come tell me - not 2 hours in advance, as soon as you know that. We have to plan our days with jobs and family, so thats just fair...

ABOUT ME

find out for yourselve. It's difficult to describe... perhaps an active member of society, interested in many different subjects, open minded... nowadays father of 2 beautiful sons and one beautiful daughter, hard working in my job, so long term surfers are nearly impossible.

on the other side grown up in scouts movement (DPSG) and still part of some working and consulting groups in diözesan level or as a staff member at churchdays (www.katholikentag.de, www.oekt.de)...

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

getting in touch with interesting people from all over the world. I often travelled around Europe with a tent or in hostels, meeting people on the way, making new friends or meeting old friends... with CS I give it a special note...

hosting lots of travellers and non CS-bands who play in pubs in Duisburg

had at least 5 livingroomconcerts at my home, at least 5 in the Jurt in our garden and joined several other concerts especially at Petras place or organized by ChrisCs and his freebirds...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

had lots of surfers via CS up to now - else several experiences on couches all over Europe - visiting friends, taking part in international meetings etc...

I even host Bands who play concerts at "Steinbruch" or "grammatikov" in Duisburg, so there are not only real CSers coming around...

兴趣

is quite too much to write it down...
but beside my work as a teacher I`m still an active member of scouts movement. Besides this hiking, motorcycling, soccer, fitness, geocaching (including T5) and biking are other activities in my short leisure time.
Apart from these very active hobbies I like to cook, go to (especially smaller) cinemas or to the sauna.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

deep conversations just starting after few minutes you got in touch, e.g. leading to nearly non ending nights...

holding my grandmas hand in her last minutes in life at earth.... and welcoming my kids on earth in their first moments, minutes and hours...

a fucking genious houseconcert with evening hymns and the wooden sky while they joined me for several days including a crazy session afterwards...
