Music, Movies, and Books
I like watching: Time of the Wolf, The Untouchables, The Fool of the World & The Flying Ship, North by Northwest, and a few others. I like listening to a lot of stuff, but especially Legowelt, The KLF, 1980s stuff like Alphaville Big in Japan - I'm a percussionist so has to be rhythmic.. Often I get bored by fiction and stop reading books before I get to the end, but recently I've liked reading Haruki Murakami 'The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle' and Herman Hesse 'Steppenwolf'.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I travelled around the world for thirteen months when I was 18 years old. That was probably more naive than amazing.. I've worked for the UN and the World Bank-- that has been fascinating. Have been to some unusual countries and quasi-states with names people think are fabricated.

My Interests
Listening to and making Music (orchestral and electronic), Snowboarding (when I have some money), Travel (obviously), Photography, Architecture (mainly complaining about it), watching good Films (probably not Hollywood), enjoying a good bottle of wine or beer on a summer evening... I'm doing a PhD on the social impacts of economic relations between different ethnic groups in cities, with fieldwork in Krasnodar, Russia and Port-of-Spain, Trinidad
