To live a life free of hypocrisy, to treat people around me with love and care, and to wonder at the mysteries of life.

ABOUT ME

I was born in 84 and laugh easy. A few winters ago, I biked through India by myself. I love to share conversations and meals with locals while traveling, getting a sense of the place and connection with the land. I avoid most tourist traps and prefer a quiet coffee shop, getting lost on a run, and exploring daily routines with hosts!

For work, I started a small business (www.standupmn.org), design websites, and am taking the winter off to write a book, explore, learn and read! Now I'm running a videography business at www.ourgrandstory.com where I help people share their most meaningful memories.

I enjoy learning about new cultures and understanding different perspectives of difficult issues. I love philosophy, spiritual writers, discussing what matters most to you, and hearing other's story. A close friend once said "everyone has a story, sometimes a story is all we have".

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed with some amazing people in south east asia, india, europe and here in the U.S. We are looking forward to hosting some people here in Minnesota as well. However, we live in a community with 4 others, and so it can be difficult to share a space that isn't all ours to share.

Interessen

Currently, I'm spending most of my free time traveling and paragliding. Have you ever tried? It's a life changing sport! I'm also into other sports, international relations, folk and acoustic music, movies, reading, teaching, and inner reflection.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I love sharing music with others. I play the drums and can sing along with just about anyone. I really like short films found on Vimeo. small, independent films that share more by showing less. I'm really getting into Khalil Gibran, Robert Pirsig, Paulo Coelho, and Amitov Gosh. Fiction novels, spiritual quests, and 'children's books' like the Little Prince. I'm also hoping to finish writing my own 'childrens' book' sometime soon...

I have decided that fame, power and wealth will not make me happy.

I've camped along the Ganges River, biked 3 months across India, found an amazing woman to explore with and have a dog who can run over 20 miles with us.

I have: built a sailboat from plain lumber, developed a self-sustaining student rental business, completed an ultra-marathon, quit an investment banking career, worked for a Congressman in D.C., totaled a motorcycle, built a website and company, worked to help food entrepreneurs start and grow their business, learned bicycle maintenance, I have lots of fun stories that I can share and will do so only upon request. To be honest, I am more interested in learning about you!
