CURRENT MISSION travelling and working in S. Korea ABOUT ME I fell in love with travelling and adventure way back in the 70's when we hitch-hicked across Canada, out to Vancouver, where I lived for about 20 years. When I was in China, as an exchange student, I got the idea to teach English and travel. I lived in Japan for 4 years and Italy for 1. I think travelling kept me young in mind, spirit and body. Now, I would like to travel to Korea, but first, I'm on a trip around the atlantic. People are so friendly here! Halifax is like a mini-vancouver. Right now, I'm in Korea and the people are so warm and friendly. PHILOSOPHY Be in the moment, enjoy life and help others whenever I can. I like people who can teach me things.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I'm brainstorming this section. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE not yet, but I have given hitch-hickers rides and a couch for the night. As my first surfing experience, the Nova Scotians are awesome! I've surfed two couches and both places were great, very friendly and helpful.
Music, Movies, and Books
I love reading, especially Christopher Brookmyre's writing, all kinds of music.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Travelling through China when it was just opening up to the first individual travellers and trying to sleep on The Wall. Lived in Japan for 4 years and visited most of the ancient temples and castles. Lived in Italy for a year.Travelling around there was beyond my wildest travelling dreams. Now, I'm going down east to atlantic Canada and after that I'm off to Korea to teach and travel.
Teach, Learn, Share
I don't really see myself as a teacher, but rather as someone who learns from everyone including my students.
My Interests
travelling of course. I'm interested in exploring and finding the best beaches in the world. I love warm, blue water, tall palm trees and great sunsets. Also, I like to watch cooking shows, esp. Rachel Ray. I really love japanese pottery, the Japanese have so many pretty things. Now, I'm interested in Koreaand everything Korean.
