About Me
WELCOME FRIENDS
My name is BALUKU, I am a Tourist Guide by profession, a nature lover and conservationist. I was born and raised in Kasese District, Western Uganda.
I guide tourists in Kasese and beyond to all Uganda’s 10 National Parks.
I am a team leader for NGUVU COMMUNITY FOCUS (NCOF), a Community Based Organization and also a community school upcoming. I spend most of my free time with children planting trees for conservation and eco-tourism, as well as community development.
You are most welcome to kasese located right on the equator and in-between Rwenzori mountains national park and the savanna plains of Queen Elizabeth NP.
Our organization was formed in 2018, with the main purpose to carry out activities geared towards enhancing quality education and the best possible living conditions to children from struggling families who live in poverty and rejection, plus training children how to save, protect and conserve the environment by planting trees. It is our vision that the children and their families will be inspired to achieve their full potential and get the necessary educational foundation to reach social and economic independence through our work.
Last year, with hard work and sacrifices we purchased one acre of land, by the way it has scenic views of Lakes and of Queen Elizabeth National Park.
We dedicated this land for community work. This is where we plan to construct a school to offer free education to benefit children from our community and those from neighboring communities. Our community children will not have to trek long distances to go to school and will study in a safer environment. These children will not have to pay school fees.
You are welcome to my home, l always take my guests for walks in the community, local Markets, hiking tours, hot springs, our local gardens, riverside walks and swimming, preparing local dishes.
If you love animals and wildlife you have all this opportunity to see, Elephants, Buffalos, Lions, Hippos, Leopards, Baboons, Antelopes, Monkeys, Warthogs, fishing villages, salty lakes, volcanic crater lakes, Boat cruise in the neighboring Queen Elizabeth NP
I also help my guests in processing Gorilla and chimpanzee tracking permits easily, trekking Rwenzori mountains.
So in case you didn’t have any planned tours yet, be informed that I will be of help to tailor and customize a trip that fits within your budget and time available.
My Home is ten minutes’ drive from Kasese bus terminal and Taxi Park, Banks, hospitals, local markets, supermarkets are all within easy reach.
It's easy to connect from KAMPALA city by public bus or i organize private transfers. The bus is about 45,000 Uganda shillings or between $11 to $14.
We use local shared Taxis, bodaboda (Bike Taxi) in Kasese.
It's never too late to start doing new things.
