Overview
About Me
I am grateful to you for sending me requests as I value connection and friendship. I would like to know what is going to be the Couchsurfers' plan because I prefer hosting is willing to share some morning or afternoon with me. Some of my past guests party or went out in the evening to the wee hours of the morning and slept through the day. Some occasions we barely interact - then when they would like to hang out it is at the bars or clubs which I have felt tired of doing - being more than a decade living in Bali.
I have always been fascinated about the world and its different culture since I was a kid. I still can vividly remember sitting on my grandparents' huge brown sofa and flipping encyclopedias. I also still could remember some trips I had with my family even it was just only a trip to the park on my birthday. Those are actually the things I enjoy the most in life.
Being in my 30s now I still am feeling this burst of happy energy every time I read books/ watch videos / talk to people about different countries' landscapes, nature, people, and cultures. Even just walk in the park and observe the world goes by (as I am also always curious to know how people see the world and life in general.
As mentioned above, I have moved past the feeling of excitement hanging out at pubs, bars, or clubs. I am more of a coffee shop, chill cafes, and modest beach restaurant person now. I value more sober interaction in a more calm and peaceful environment.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I would like to host / meet like-minded people who can have meaningful conversations, sharing meals / drinks over a random conversations.
As I am just lazily getting myself into Freeletics, I would really appreciate if I can meet people who has experience in that. I would also be very grateful if I meet with kind human beings who are willing to share their knowledge about vegetarian / vegan recipes in my kitchen.
Interests
My interests reflect a balance between curiosity, personal well-being, and meaningful human connection.
I enjoy reading poetry and novels, as they allow me to explore language and emotion in depth.
Travel and backpacking are essential parts of my life, offering both adventure and reflection.
I am more of a flexitarian and maintain a primarily plant-based lifestyle, with a focus on vegetarian and vegan choices. They are aligned with my needs around my health.
Professionally, I have a strong interest in education business and language learning. I am particularly interested in anything that fosters growth and cross-cultural understanding.
I also value topics related to food - used to own a vegan cafe, massage - trained in Balinese traditional massage, and holistic self-care.
My appreciation for stories extends from classic literature, like Lord Byron to popular literature, such as Harry Potter.
I am committed to creating and supporting inclusive spaces, especially within LGBTQIA+ communities.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I guided and translated for 20 Hong Kong students to visit labors in Surabaya, the Lapindo mud-flood in Sidoarjo, street kids and apple farmers in Malang. The awestruck moment was when seeing them bonding without communicating well because of the language barriers; seeing them crying because of the local people's inspiring story about fighting for their life. I still get all choked up when I tell people about it sometimes. Language of the Universe speaks louder than any language.
Teach, Learn, Share
I like listening to people's stories / dreams / struggles / successes. I love to learn about other languages and culture through experience it or listening the native telling me about it.
I would like to share some deep connection and just great time exploring the Island.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my knowledge about the island, Indonesia, or Indonesian language. I would also be happy to share my knowledge about vegan / vegetarian stuff.
