I have always been fascinated about the world and its different culture since I was a kid. I still can vividly remember sitting on my grandparents' huge brown sofa and flipping encyclopedias. I also still could remember some trips I had with my family even it was just only a trip to the park on my birthday. Those are actually the things I enjoy the most in life.
Being in my early 30s now I still am feeling this burst of happy energy every time I read books/ watch videos / talk to people about different countries' landscape, nature, people, and culture. Even just walk in the park and observe the world goes by (as I am also always curious to know how people sees the world and life in general).
I have been living in Bali since 2013 mostly working for companies in travel industry. I usually spend my spare time just relaxing in my place reading books / having a trivial to deep conversations with friends/ trying massage places / scooter around with friends and Couchsurfers to one of the beaches / temples / waterfalls, watching movies in cinema, or just hang out in cafes.
I decided to quit my corporate job in 2019 as an account manager in a holiday rental management and got back to working on my language teaching business.
I am so excited to do this (again) as it will test my will to work hard and creatively. It will also give me more opportunities to meet people and have new experience.

This part will be a bit silly as I don't usually think that being LGBTQ+ is something I need to inform someone even before I meet them. However, some people has mentioned to me how some guys on Couchsurfing make advances on them, therefore they told me that they wanted to make it clear with me that they're straight and not after such things. It is pretty sad that these predators use Couchsurfing for this agenda. I'm clearing the air here now - that as a gay guy, I am not on Couchsurfing to convert any straight guys or try my luck to be with straight guys or even when you're part of the LGBTQ+ as well I am not after a sexual encounters on Couchsurfing. I'm here to connect with like-minded people and share my Bali life and listen to stories.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I would like to host / meet like-minded people who can have meaningful conversations, sharing meals / drinks over a random conversations.
As I am just lazily getting myself into Freeletics, I would really appreciate if I can meet people who has experience in that. I would also be very grateful if I meet with kind human beings who are willing to share their knowledge about vegetarian / vegan recipes in my kitchen.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I guided and translated for 20 Hong Kong students to visit labors in Surabaya, the Lapindo mud-flood in Sidoarjo, street kids and apple farmers in Malang. The awestruck moment was when seeing them bonding without communicating well because of the language barriers; seeing them crying because of the local people's inspiring story about fighting for their life. I still get all choked up when I tell people about it sometimes. Language of the Universe speaks louder than any language.
Teach, Learn, Share
I like listening to people's stories / dreams / struggles / successes. I love to learn about other languages and culture through experience it or listening the native telling me about it.
