Hi! I'm Barry. I'm a 21 year old current living in Kampot, south Cambodia. Until august 2016, I was a student of architecture in my home country of Scotland.

I left Scotland to travel to China, where I spent 6 months. In January of 2017, I then moved to Cambodia! From here, I set up a company with a friend and we make plant based food products for the lovely people of Kampot! I've set up a home in Kampot, however I really want to travel whilst I still have the opportunity.

This summer, I'll be travelling to London, Scotland, Paris, Barcelona, all over Italy and finishing in New York City. I love architecture, art, museums, galleries and sunsets, and can't wait to explore Europe and NY.

I'm on couch surfing because I want to really explore the cities I travel to. I want to travel on as little money as possible, and meet people who make the cities and live there. Part of my travel will be a personal project to collate stories from individuals from all over the world, and I want to share my time with them.

I want to learn languages, and cuisine. I'd love to explore the backstreets that make up a town, and get a taste of authentic living - and I think Couchsurfing is the best tool to do that.

My favourite artists would be amongst Tame Impala, Bombay Bicycle Club, alt-J and Bon Iver, Frank Ocean and Childish Gambino.

My favourite movie is Amelie, a French movie from the 00s. It's artsy and cool, and the directing is amazing. I also have a guilty pleasure for anything Disney or Pixar. Netflix has become my life, and I hope it is yours too.
