CURRENT MISSION to be happy ABOUT ME I have travelled with my bicycle 5 years, I settled down in Latvia 2017 where I live now with my wife and our 3 small children. I enjoy a simple life in the peaceful Latvia. I am not the man who speaks a lot but I like meeting people to share life's experiences. I try as much as possible not to take part in the consumerist society and to do the things by myself. I only host cyclists, hitchhikers and long time travellers. Before to send me a request to stay, I invite you to read my profile, it will take you only 2 minutes of your time. PLEASE READ BEFORE COUCHSURFING AT MY PLACE OR HOSTING ME!!! Clear expectations of host and couchsurfers prevent misunderstanding ;-) COUCHSURFERS: Read accommodation page ! CS will sleep in our garden, not in our flat. I expect from the guests that they respect the place where they will stay. HOSTS: In exchange of sleeping and eating at your place I share with you my stories of travelling, I can bake bread/cake, pizza, help in the household, in the garden, on a farm or anywhere you need me ... just ask me for a favour. That's my personal way to say THANK YOU for your hospitality ... "what goes around, comes around" Please write references after staying/hosting PHILOSOPHY Enjoy the life

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING After surfing couches during 9 years, it is now my turn to be a host and to welcome people COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE A lot of postive and great experiences with completly different people. But some of them also weird !
Music, Movies, and Books
I can "read" maps for hours. To look at a map is already to travel I usually listen to the radio I avoid watching tv
One Amazing Thing I've Done
To join Couchsurfing When I was 5 years old, I went alone by train from my home town to Paris to see Santa Claus, in July
Teach, Learn, Share
I would like to speak the languages from the countries I visit. It can only be a dream but I try to learn some words and sentences that can be usefull. It helps a lot already to contact the locals in their language and it sometimes opens doors ... I can show you how to bake bread, it is very easy but takes a bit time I want to share with my guests some latvian culture. Do not worry, it is not boring at all
What I Can Share With Hosts
If I have time and if there is a oven, I can bake bread or a cake My stories from a 5 years nomad's life
