About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am Bedouin from Petra and I would like to meet people through CS to see our culture and be welcome here

ABOUT ME

I'm a Bedouin who was born in a cave inside Petra area. I grew up there and lived in the sight of Petra. It's a 2000 year-old city with a very long history and many civilizations crossed this city which was the capital of the Nabateans. My great grand father lived there and my family still live there nowadays. In our culture, we welcome any nationality and every kind of religion too. That is the reason why I use couch surfing in Petra in order to show the visitors how we live. All the Bedouins welcome you warmly. Come, enjoy and see it by yourself!

PHILOSOPHY

Happiness and peace for everyone.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting people in my city and guiding them around if I have time for it (climbing, hiking or jeep tours in the desert and in places where no tourists go).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I was living in Germany, I heard about this website. I found it easier and much nicer while travelling than a hotel can be. It allows you to meet different cultures and people you wouldn't meet other way. That is the reason why I decided CS should have a place in our village, Oum Sayhoun by hosting visitors in my cave. I hosted 57 different nationalities until now.

Interests

I'm interesting in travels, climbing, hiking, natural medicines and yoga. I also love to meet people and to share experiences with them. I also enjoy driving my pink jeep around the mountains.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love blues and reggae.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing things I have seen while travelling are the different landscapes. Everywhere I went, I've amazing things. I traveled all around Europe, the U.S.A., Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Libya, India, Egypt, Syria, Turkey, Namibia and Mali.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can help anyone who come to this country to learn arabic, natural medicines, cooking, climbing and eco-building in the nature. If anyone want to come to volunteer in my cave, they are warmly welcome and they can stay as long as they want.
