Hello! My name is Ben, I'm 24, and grew up/live in Southampton, and find myself back in the UK after travelling and living in Peru/Colombia/Ecuador for a year and a half, most of which time I spent in the Peruvian Amazon. Beforehand, I studied in London and lived there for 3 years. I am a musician and play lots of different instruments, and am working on a solo guitar project at the minute, playing shows and doing street music. I am very interested in the spiritual cultures and mythologies of the world. I love nature, wild camping, foraging, bushcraft, and hiking in the mountains, although the South of England is very flat!

Music is my thing! I have played guitar for over a decade and been teaching guitar since I was 15. I recently acquired a didgeridoo which I am very excited about, and have fiddled about with the piano/drums/bass/sax for a few years, and have been recording individually for about a year now. I would say my favourite genres of music are funk, jazz, traditional, folk, flamenco, gypsy, soul, afrobeat, Brasilian - anything form the 60s and 70s really! At the moment I am interested in reading about archaeology and ancient and tribal cultures and mythologies.

I can share a love of music! A willingness to learn about the cultures of the area, and share a good range of vegetarian recipes. I am also sure that with my level of Spanish it will be easy to communicate in both English and Spanish. And a bonus - if the host has any instruments lying around - we can have a little jam!
