I'm full of contradictions. I love being in cities, but don't like being far away from the mountains. I like to be able to carry on intelligent conversation, but also like to do so in an extremely low register. My friends would definitely describe me as calm and laid-back. Also, I love to eat. If traveling, I can easily plan a couple of days around trying out the local food scene.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I'm new to Couchsurfing. I biked across the US in 2009 and stayed with some hosts through Warmshowers.org, a site that's specifically set up for touring cyclists. Had some wonderful experiences doing that, so I decided to try Couchsurfing for this road trip.

One Amazing Thing I've Done
I bicycled across most of the US in 2009. It was incredibly challenging and awe-inspiring at the same time. Also, watching the sun set from an island in the middle of Lake Titicaca in Bolivia is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen.
My Interests
I love bicycles, cooking, traveling and swimming. I am moving into a new career in data privacy, working with companies to comply with international data protection laws and keep the trust of their customers. I love this field because it's complex and constantly evolving, but it's something everyone experiences first hand (Facebook and Cambridge Analytica, anyone?)
