Overview
About Me
Moved to the Bay Area in May 2022 for a job and currently living in Redwood City. Unfortunately I can't host at the moment.
I work in healthcare innovation with a focus on use cases for 3D printing and extended reality (virtual and augmented reality). I grew up in Indonesia where my parents were Protestant missionaries. It was an awesome place to grow up and gave me a hunger to see more of the world. I have visited 30+ countries and visited all 7 continents at least once.
"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime."
by Mark Twain in his book The Innocents Abroad
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
CSers are some of the coolest people you'll ever meet. I have made lifelong friends and met some great roommates through CS. Everyone I've met and hosted has been great and my life is richer because of them.
Over the years, I've hosted surfers from: USA, Brazil, India, France, Germany, Canada, Austria, Spain, Israel, Switzerland, Puerto Rico, Russia, China, Egypt, Slovakia, Australia, Turkey, etc....
Interests
Travel, Technology, Photography, Biking, Anything that flies, I love to fly when I get the chance and someday I want my pilot's license. I like being outdoors just taking in the scenery. Sitting on a bench and watching the world pass by sometimes. I love hearing life stories and getting into long discussions that meander all over the place.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
Always classic rock, EDM, symphonic metal, some country, live acoustic music by local singer/songwriters
Movies & TV:
Sci-Fi, Action, Comedy, Drama and anything my brother is in. I'd like to see more foreign film so if you have a recommendation please let me know.
Books:
I'll read just about anything. I like buying used books and getting free audio books from the public library.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Blessed to visit all 7 continents of planet Earth. Next stop low earth orbit? 🤞
Had both hip joints and both knee joints replaced with artificial titanium ones allowing me to walk again after 10 years in a wheelchair. Definitely gives you perspective on traveling and mobility.
