ABOUT ME

I’m a native English speaker from the UK and have been living long term in Amsterdam.
It's a great international city with a strong sense of freedom, plus lots to do and see!
I have good knowledge of the main sights so message me if you’d like me to guide you around a little bit!
I am friendly, open and curious and love to travel and visit new places and people!

PHILOSOPHY

The journey is often better than the destination....
(assuming there are no major delays ;))
Money spent on travel or experiences is never wasted, the memories live on.

Mostly to meet new people from all over the world and to attend international meetups now and again. They are also a great way of meeting people and making connections while travelling.

Climbing inside the Pyramids in Egypt.

8 day silent meditation retreat in Thailand.

One of the most amazing places I've been to is Pirenopolis in Goias, Brazil. It is an attractive town nestled among mountains and has a really mystical feel to it.

Akko (Acre) in Israel is also one of the most amazing places I have been to. Beautiful and atmospheric.

I love meeting people from different countries and cultures and backgrounds as well as those from familiar places.
I like to meet people of all kinds of ages too, there is always something to connect with.

I currently help out at a volunteer centre for refugees in Amsterdam assisting them with English conversation. It is interesting listening to some of the amazing, inspiring and often shocking stories they have to tell.

I also have had experience working on a volunteer project for street teenagers in Brazil which was an eye opening experience.

I am a native English speaker and have a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) qualification so am happy to help you practice speaking!
