About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Chill out. Be happy. Visit every country in the world
ABOUT ME
I'm Ben. I'm from the UK originally, but have been living in Berlin for the last 7 years where I built a startup. Now I'm travelling the world.
What I love
- Travel - currently I'm on a mission to visit every country in the world
- Languages - I speak 7 languages pretty well. Currently focusing on Chinese
- Learning about the world - especially the history of places
- Working with entrepreneurs from all over
Me as a guest: I'm a very chill person who has both hosted a lot and surfed a lot. I'm coach surfing because I want to connect with locals & expats and I've found it's the most genuine way of doing that.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Events, surfing hosting etc.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted a lot and surfed A LOT. Super grateful to everyone who helped me out and am looking forward to returning the favour.
Interests
My camera is my baby. Taking photos is one of the few things that always feels good, even when I am hungover.
I also love making films (see the my website link).
I studied PHILOSOPHY and economics (the philosophy is capitalised for a reason !)
I like travelling (well, duh) and learning languages and understanding their structures. The that verbs in Hebrew change with the gender fascinates me for example.
Music of many forms. I play the melodica and am always up for a jam although I apologise in advance if I seems I am greedy as I find this instrument very difficult to play anything other than solos on this instrument.
I like computers, star wars, Studio Ghibli, Adobe CS5 and am learning web coding. (Let's get the nerd out all in one sentence :D )
I like drinking, but hate being hungover. If someone can find me a solution I will buy you a beer.
Music, Movies, and Books
I always want to read, but only seem to find time when I'm travelling. I guess learning foreign vocab takes priority. I like to write as well.
Movies.... A lot
