I live in Québec city since many years. I have my own house and I live not too far away from downtown the old city (it's walkable). I work for the Ministry of Agriculture of Québec.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I traveled in the 90's in France, I always been very welcome by people there and I never been in any problems unless they were helping me. Now I think with CS it's a very nice and good way to give it back to anyone who is coming to my city to discover it. If I can show, explain, say what I know about the history, I'll be proud to share all of it to people coming here. And of course, I also want to explore more of the world by entering the local culture with CS.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am member of couchsurfing since August 2009, since then I had so great experiences meeting people from all around the world. I guess my references talk by themself. In a bit more than 7 years, I hosted over 1 000 guests. Even that, I try to give to everyone as much time as I can.

Interests

I like geography so I'd love to travel as much as possible.
I love to do hiking and camping and I love to be in nature (I think I prefer more the nature than a big city).
I like to practice some sports. Actually tennis is the main sport I am practicing on a regular basis. I do bike in the city as well.
At home I like to cook. Maybe I am a bit "granola" because I do cook my own bread, make yogourt, and do like to cook all kind of food and also discover new taste of food.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a fan of Québec movies and also none commercial movies (even if times to times I go see some as well).
I like almost all kind of music and like to discover new one as well from classical to modern music. Of course there are always some exception tho !!! I do have a preference for Québec or french singers and music.
I do have a preference biography or historical books. I do read also some fictions.

Je suis un fan de films québécois et une préférence pour les films de répertoire même si à l'occasion je vais voir un film commercial.
J'aime tout genre de musique ou presque avec une préférence pour la chanson québécoise et francophone.
Côté livre, j'aime les biographies et les livres à caractère historique. Bien sur je lis aussi des fictions !

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

hum, for 2 winters I participated at the snow bath during the winter carnival of Québec. It was amazing to be almost naked outside under -15C. But it was a great experience.
