I'm living together with my wife in Delft, a very nice and cosy city in the South West of Holland. Only 15 minutes away from either The Hague or Rotterdam and just 30 minutes away from Amsterdam (all by train).

We both love to travel (we even met during a world-trip back in 2010) and we like meeting people from all different parts of the world. We both have full-time jobs (I work in commercial Real Estate and my wife is a project manager), but in the weekends we are usually free to show you around or hang out in a bar or at home!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are more then happy to offer our spare bedroom to anyone who has the right spirit, personality and urge of being adventurous and want to expand their perception of the world. We expect our guest(s) to be friendly, easy to talk to, open-minded and respectful. Other than that, we don't have any specific requirements other then you being a nice person to hang around with :).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been a host back in 2010, before I left for my world trip. During my world trip I was a couchsurf guest a couple of times in Russia and China where I had the best time with my hosts.

Now... several years later (and being inactive on CS for quite some time) we thought it would be nice to host again.

Interests

Interests of me include traveling (of course), theater, cabaret, movies, squash, house music, real estate, humor, motorbikes, gaming and sleeping!

My wifes' interests include traveling, yoga, reading, art, museums, jig-saw puzzles and netflix.

Music, Movies, and Books

We have a big cabinet filled with books (hobby of my wife) which varies from fantasy to non-fictional (most of them are written in Dutch ofcourse). We also like to watch all kind of movies and series, so we use Netflix a lot. Series we like in particular include Game of Thrones, House of Cards, Suits, Homeland, Friends, Big Bang, Modern Family, The Office (US), Peaky Blinders and The Last Kingdom.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I (Bart) did a world trip of 8 months in 2010, where I covered big part of Asia, Russia and Australia and above all, where I met Hanneke (while boarding the trans mongolian express) whom I married in 2017.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can share our home with you and hopefully have a good time. If we are not busy with work or occupied in the weekends, we are happy to show you around in either Delft, The Hague or Rotterdam, which we both know pretty well. (We have lived in The Hague for 4 years and Bart works in Rotterdam).
