ABOUT ME

As said before I enjoy working with students and hope to get into the field of education for my passion lies there. I am an RA for Undergraduate Housing, I am a Co-Chair for Movimiento Estudiantil Chican@ de Atzlan (M.E.Ch.@) which is a student run organization that strives for social justice and the betterment of underrepresented communities. I am in process of getting my B.A in English with a minor in Queer Studies and the first person in my family to attend college. The first to study abroad as well. I love to write (slam poetry, spoken word), sing (not good, but I try), sewing, crafting, sketching, blogging, vlogging, making new friends, experiencing new things, open minded, adventures, and so fort!

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life by keeping things positive. I am quite an optimist and dislike negative energy which makes me quite energetic, happy-go-lucky, and always willing to brighten someones day with a smile on my face even when things can be tough! :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have yet to participate but I met someone from England who did couch surfing before and a friend who did it while studying in Chile

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have yet to participate but I met someone from England who CouchSurfed with my friend. We spoke and it seemed he was having a good time. My friend, him, and I went to dinner and we showed him around Irvine and the UCI campus!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think the most amazing thing that I have done in my lifetime thus far is work with underrepresented communities through Outreach Programs because you really do impact the lives of students.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to teach people that creating dialogues of the social issues within society(s) is important because without the dialogues no one really knows what goes on in the world. I want to learn different perspectives that people have to offer that I can use to reformulate my ideas and strive to be more aware. I want to be a well-rounded individual who can think before they speak.
